we arrived and were seated quickly, we walked to the counter and placed our order as quickly as possible - not quickly enough.

we saw our meals on the counter, waiting, slowly cooling as it sat staring at us.

our meal eventually arrived. 

now, when I say we anniahlated that chicken, I doubt you will understand the vigour with which we chonged on those birds.
